Linear Integration

Connect Linear to Triagly and create issues directly from customer feedback with one click.

How It Works

1

Connect Linear

Click "Connect Linear" in your dashboard settings and authorize via OAuth. No API keys to manage.

2

Review Feedback

AI classifies and prioritizes your feedback. When something needs action, you're ready.

3

Create Issues

Push feedback to Linear as issues with one click. Title, description, and labels are pre-filled by AI.

What You Get

  • One-Click OAuth: Connect in seconds — no API keys or tokens to copy
  • AI-Prefilled Issues: Title, description, and classification are generated from the feedback
  • Team Selection: Choose which Linear team to create issues in
  • Issue Linking: Created issues link back to the original feedback in Triagly

Quick Setup

Prerequisites

  • A Triagly account with admin access to your organization
  • A Linear workspace with permission to install apps
  • At least one project created in Triagly
1

Navigate to Settings

Log in to your Triagly dashboard, open your project, and go to Settings from the sidebar. Scroll to the Issue Tracker Integrations section.

2

Click "Connect Linear"

You'll be redirected to Linear's OAuth authorization page. Review the permissions and click Authorize.

3

Select Your Team

After authorization, choose the default Linear team where issues will be created. You can change this per issue later.

Start Creating Issues

That's it! You can now create Linear issues directly from any feedback item using the "Create Issue" button.

Creating Issues from Feedback

Once connected, you can create Linear issues from any feedback item:

  • From feedback detail — click "Create Issue" on any feedback item
  • AI-prefilled — title, description, and labels are generated from the AI analysis
  • Edit before creating — review and modify the issue before it's created in Linear
  • Linked back — the Linear issue URL appears on the feedback item for easy reference

Write issues with labels, assignees, and priorities

Security Details

  • OAuth tokens are stored server-side only, never exposed to the browser
  • Tokens are automatically refreshed — no manual re-authorization needed
  • All data is encrypted at rest and in transit
  • You can revoke access at any time from Linear or Triagly

Disconnecting

To remove the Linear integration:

  1. Go to Settings > Issue Tracker Integrations
  2. Find your Linear connection
  3. Click Disconnect and confirm

Previously created issues remain in Linear. Disconnecting only removes Triagly's ability to create new issues.

Troubleshooting

OAuth Authorization Failed

If the OAuth flow fails or you're redirected with an error:

  • 1. Check permissions — you need permission to install apps in your Linear workspace
  • 2. Try again — clear your browser cookies and retry the connection
  • 3. Check your browser — ensure popups aren't blocked for app.triagly.com

Issue Creation Failed

If clicking "Create Issue" shows an error:

  • 1. Verify the connection — check Settings to confirm Linear is still connected
  • 2. Check team access — ensure you have access to the selected team in Linear
  • 3. Reconnect — disconnect and reconnect to refresh the OAuth token

Teams Not Loading

If the team dropdown is empty after connecting:

  • 1. Check your Linear workspace — ensure at least one team exists
  • 2. Refresh the page — teams may take a moment to load after initial connection
  • 3. Reconnect — the OAuth token may need refreshing

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a paid Linear plan?

No. The integration works with Linear's free plan and all paid plans.

Can I choose which team to create issues in?

Yes. You set a default team during setup, but you can change the team for each individual issue when creating it.

Will I need to re-authorize periodically?

No. Linear OAuth tokens are automatically refreshed by Triagly. The connection stays active until you disconnect it.

Can I connect multiple Linear workspaces?

Currently, each Triagly project connects to one Linear workspace. You can connect different workspaces to different projects.

What happens to issues if I disconnect?

Issues already created in Linear remain untouched. Disconnecting only removes Triagly's ability to create new issues. The links on feedback items will still point to the existing Linear issues.
